Delegate in the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament Aner Žuljević requested that the FBiH Tax Administration publish data on companies that do not pay their employees.
The Tax Administration responded that such data cannot be published until the legal regulations in the Federation are amended, writes Patria.
Žuljević said that this is not a practice he invented. It is a model that, as he said, he copied from the legislation of neighboring countries.
- Public disclosure of non-payers has proven to have a positive effect in terms of more regular payment of salaries - said Žuljević.
- I received a response from the Tax Administration which confirmed what I stated in the initiative, and that is that it concerns the amendment of only one article of the Law on the Tax Administration of the FBiH, specifically Article 3, paragraph 1, point 4, after which data on non-payers would become public - added Žuljević.
- I hope that the Government of the FBiH, based on the response from the Tax Administration and the initiative I submitted, will initiate amendments to this law to make data on non-payers public. If this does not happen within the next 30 days, I will prepare amendments and send them to the parliamentary procedure - concluded Žuljević.
In the Federation of FBiH, thousands of workers do not have regular salaries, but workers most often cannot speak about it publicly due to the threat of losing whatever job they have, writes Patria.
