According to data from the Federal Statistics Agency, the purchase of agricultural products from small family farms in the Federation in February 2014 amounted to KM 7,485,723, which is an increase of KM 1,121,640 or 17.6% compared to February 2013, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).
The total sale of agricultural products from own agricultural farms and agricultural cooperatives in February 2014 also increased by 6.3 percent compared to February of last year, and amounted to KM 17,505,218.
Nermin Kadrić, director of the agricultural cooperative "Bios" from Visoko, told NAP that greenhouse production has greatly contributed to the increased production and sale of agricultural products in the Federation. This type of vegetable and seedling cultivation is increasingly popular in BiH.
- Growing vegetables and seedlings in greenhouses is a safe and profitable production, which entire families in BiH live on today - said Kadrić.
