
(Patria) - The lifeless body of Goražde resident Denis Mašić (24) was found today in Drina Lake near Janjinski Bridge, downstream from Ustiprača.
Mašić, who police had been intensively searching for for days, was found by members of the Water and Underwater Rescue Team of the RS Civil Protection Administration.
Identification was carried out by family members, and the MUP of BPK Goražde stated that an autopsy will be performed in Banja Luka, after which the body will be returned to the family.
An investigation was conducted by members of the RS police, within whose territory Mašić's lifeless body was found.
Mašić disappeared on September 9. His disappearance was reported to the Goražde police four days later, when an intensive search for him began.
The search involved members of the Civil Protection from Višegrad, a water rescue team from Bratunac, the Support Unit of the MUP BPK Goražde Police Administration, and all available Civil Protection forces, as well as kayakers and other rescue teams from Goražde.
Among others, in the past few days, the Drina riverbed was searched by two teams of the Federal Civil Protection Administration, with the assistance of the Support Unit of the MUP BPK Goražde Police Administration.
