Festival "Let the World Be a Child" Begins at the Centre for Culture

Under the auspices of the Municipality of Centar Sarajevo, the Public Institution "Centre for Culture" is organizing the 9th Children's Festival "Let the World Be a Child," which will be held from October 3 to 7, 2016, on the stage of the Centre for Culture at Jelićeva 1.

The Children's Festival "Let the World Be a Child," which is non-competitive, aims to introduce the youngest generations to theatrical art through theatre for children and youth, with a special emphasis on the pedagogical dimension of the program, promoting tolerance, dialogue, peace, and a more humane attitude towards friends, family, and nature...

This year's children's festival begins on Monday, October 3, at 12:30 PM with the play "The Magic Flute" performed by actors from the Children's Theatre "Pinocchio" from Tuzla. On the second day of the festival, October 4, at 12:30 PM, the play "Sleeping Streaks" will be performed by students of the Seventh Elementary School from Blažuj. On Wednesday, October 5, at 11 AM, there will be a performance of "Woolen Theatre" by members of the Association "Fairy Tale." On Thursday, October 6, two plays are scheduled – at 12:30 PM "Forest Fairy Tale" presented by the Children's Theatre from Kruševac, and at 6 PM Party Time BH will perform the play "World of Magic." On the last day of this year's festival "Let the World Be a Child," October 7, at 6 PM, the puppet show for children "Doll Fairy" will be performed.

With the general sponsorship of the Municipality of Centar, which is the founder of the Public Institution "Centre for Culture," this children's festival was supported by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton and the Municipality of Stari Grad.
