(Patria) - Members of the Border Police Unit of BiH Velika Kladuša arrested a Turkish citizen identified as B.O. (1999) today, after he was prevented from smuggling 22 Turkish citizens.
The smuggling was discovered during the supervision of the state border in the border area in the municipality of Cazin.
The aforementioned Turkish citizen was smuggling foreign nationals in a VW van with BiH license plates.
The duty prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office was informed about the event, and upon their order, the passenger motor vehicle and other evidence were temporarily confiscated.
The suspected Turkish citizen will be handed over to the acting prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office along with the Report on the committed criminal offense of "Human Smuggling".
The smuggled Turkish citizens were handed over to members of the BiH Service for Foreigners' Affairs for further processing.
