Around 1,000 people gathered in Brussels to pay tribute to the victims of the attacks in the Belgian capital, in which 32 people were killed and several hundred wounded, reports AFP, as carried by the Patria news agency.
"This is not a rally with a political message, but above all a tribute with a message of compassion for the victims," said a local official.
Family members of the victims, as well as representatives of various religious communities, also attended the rally. Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel was expected to speak with the victims' families after the rally.
In the attacks on March 22 at the airport and metro station in Brussels, 32 people were killed, and ISIL claimed responsibility for the attacks.
