State of natural disaster declared in Bosanska Krupa due to floods

(Patria) - The Civil Protection Headquarters of Bosanska Krupa has adopted a Decision on declaring a state of natural disaster due to floods.

A large number of residential and auxiliary buildings, as well as road communications, have been flooded in the area of Bosanska Krupa.

The highest water level measured in December was 336 centimeters, and given the rising water level trends and the announced precipitation during today and in the coming days, it is expected that the water level could reach over 350.

All citizens, both those who were flooded in December and those who were not, are warned to take all protective measures to save property and human lives.

All available units of the Civil Protection, Public Utility Company "10. juli", and the Professional Firefighting Unit of Bosanska Krupa, as well as all volunteer fire departments in the area of Bosanska Krupa, are on the ground and responding where necessary and possible.

In case of flooding of buildings and if you are surrounded by water and cannot leave your home, the Water and Underwater Rescue Service is also available, the Civil Protection Headquarters announced.
