Bear killed in Banja Luka

Hunters who surrounded a bear in the Lazarevo settlement in Banja Luka killed the bear hiding in the bushes, reports the Patria News Agency.

This information was confirmed to ATV by hunters who are on the scene. They previously stated that they had no other choice because it is a densely populated area and they do not have the equipment to sedate the bear and transport it to another location.

Citizens of the Banja Luka settlement of Lazarevo noticed a bear around 5 AM this morning near the roundabout in this settlement and informed the Banja Luka Public Security Center (CJB) about it.

Officers from the Lazarevo Police Station and the city gamekeeper of Banja Luka arrived at the scene and spotted the wild animal, which was moving in the immediate vicinity of the "Kramar" car dealership in the Banja Luka settlement of Lazarevo.

This is a legally protected animal.
