
(Patria) - Police officers of the Department for Blood and Sexual Offenses of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton, under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of the Sarajevo Canton, carried out an operational action codenamed "Shield" with the aim of documenting the criminal offense of human trafficking.
During searches conducted in the Ilidža area and in cooperation with members of the MUP of Republika Srpska in the Istočna Ilidža area, items of interest to the investigation were found, as well as a certain amount of dry herbaceous matter resembling the narcotic drug marijuana. A Mercedes motor vehicle was also seized.
Due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of Human Trafficking, M.M. (1989), born in Peć, Kosovo, who holds citizenship of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sweden, and E.K. (1971), born in Gusinje, a citizen of Montenegro, were deprived of their liberty. The arrested individuals are suspected of having committed the criminal offense of Human Trafficking in the past period to the detriment of three female individuals, by using threats and coercion to exploit them for the purpose of providing sexual services for money, as well as forcing them into sexual relations.
The suspects are in the official premises of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton undergoing criminal processing.
