21 persons arrested in operation Silva

PALE, (Patria) - Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) of Republika Srpska arrested 21 persons today on suspicion of having committed multiple criminal offenses in the areas of Sokolac, Rogatica and Pale, the MUP of Republika Srpska announced.

The arrested individuals are suspected of having committed the following criminal offenses: forest devastation, theft, abuse of official position or authority, negligent work in service, failure to report a criminal offense or perpetrator, forgery or destruction of official documents, obstruction of evidence, forgery of marks for marking goods, measures and weights, tax and contribution evasion, and illegal trade.

Those arrested are: Ž.Z. (34), M.N. (32), M.K. (61), D.Đ. (45), D.K. (33), D.A. (35), M.L. (53), D.V. (40), D.K. (53), B.A. (34), N.A. (30), R.G. (47), G.V. (45), M.S. (31), S.B. (32), M.N. (29), V.B. (52), J.B. (35), all from Sokolac, and N.J. (30), B.L. (37) and A.K. (27) from Pale.

A criminal investigation is underway against the arrested individuals.

The arrests and searches at multiple locations were carried out by officers of the Criminal Police Directorate of the MUP of Republika Srpska in cooperation with the East Sarajevo Police Administration and under the supervision of the District Public Prosecutor's Office in that city, as part of the operation “Silva”.
