Two Banja Luka residents arrested in operation "Plamen"

Police officers of the Criminal Police Sector, Banja Luka Police Station - Center, Banja Luka Police Station - Lauš and the Intervention Police Station, under the supervision of the District Prosecutor's Office Banja Luka, on February 25 implemented an operation codenamed „Plamen“, which was conducted with the aim of finding evidence to shed light on several criminal acts of „Aggravated Theft“ and the criminal act of „Arson“, announced the RS Ministry of Interior, as reported by the Patria news agency. 

During the said operation, a criminal investigation of several persons was carried out and searches were conducted at several locations in the area of the City of Banja Luka.

Persons M.K. (1989) and G.K. (1987), both from Banja Luka, were arrested on suspicion of having committed the criminal acts of „Arson“ and „Aggravated Theft“ during the night of February 4/5, 2016, when they set fire to a weekend house in the place of Borkovići, city of Banja Luka, from which they then stole a rakija boiler, causing great material damage to the owner.

Person R.M. (1985) from Banja Luka was deprived of liberty on suspicion of having committed the criminal act of „Aggravated Theft“ during the night of November 20/21, 2015, in a sole proprietorship shop in the place of Saračica, causing material damage to the owner of about 950 KM.

About all circumstances related to the proceedings in the said operation, the duty prosecutor of the District Prosecutor's Office Banja Luka was informed, who ordered that after the completed criminal investigation, the suspects be released, and that a report be submitted against them in the regular procedure. Police officers continue to work on proving the said criminal acts, the statement reads.
