15 people arrested in MUP RS and EUROPOL operation for drug trafficking

(Patria) - Police officers of the Police Administration of East Sarajevo, together with the Directorate for Organized and Serious Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Srpska, in cooperation with EUROPOL, arrested 15 people during the implementation of the "Kode" operation.

As announced by the Police Administration of East Sarajevo, searches are underway at 27 locations in the areas of Istočno Novo Sarajevo, Istočna Ilidža, Pale, Istočni Stari Grad, Banja Luka, and Sarajevo Canton, based on orders from the Basic Court of East Sarajevo and under the supervision of the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office of East Sarajevo.

"The operation is directed against a group of individuals suspected of having been arranging the purchase, distribution, and monetary payment of various types of drugs (cocaine, heroin, marijuana, amphetamines, ecstasy, and other substances for the production of narcotic drugs) in the area of East Sarajevo for a longer period, thereby committing the criminal offense of unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotic drugs," the statement said.

The illicit property gain acquired by committing this criminal offense amounts to BAM 2,750,000.
