SIPA arrests two in "Kliker" operation

(Patria) - As part of the operation codenamed „Kliker“, police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) searched two locations in the area of Tuzla Canton, with the aim of finding items and evidence that can be linked to the commission of the criminal offense of „Unauthorized trafficking of weapons and military equipment and dual-use products“ under Article 193 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"This is a continuation of activities within the case, which is being conducted in cooperation with police officers of the Federal Republic of Germany, related to the seizure of 95 hand grenades, four automatic rifles, eight pistols, several parts of different types of weapons, as well as a certain amount of ammunition, which were found on February 18, 2019, in the area of Dresden, Federal Republic of Germany, in a vehicle driven by citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and which was smuggled on the route Bosnia and Herzegovina – Federal Republic of Germany. 

During the activities so far, two persons have been arrested, who were ordered into custody by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while four persons, all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, have been arrested by police officers of the Federal Republic of Germany," SIPA announced.
