Desnica Radivojević Arrested in 'Farmer' Operation

(Patria) - The Federal Police Administration has released details about the arrest of former Deputy Prime Minister and Federal Minister of Spatial Planning, Desnica Radivojević.
The FUP announced that in the continuation of the operational action "Farmer", police officers of the Federal Police Administration, in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska and under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, arrested Radivojević today in the territory of Republika Srpska.

According to the FUP, he is suspected of committing criminal offenses of "Association for the purpose of committing criminal offenses", in connection with the criminal offenses of "Abuse of position or authority".

Radivojević will be processed criminally at the official premises of the Federal Police Administration, after which he will be handed over to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton for further jurisdiction, along with a report on the committed criminal offense.

In the "Farmer" operation, which began on March 31, eight individuals were previously arrested. They are suspected of having, from 2014 to mid-2015, as members of the Commission for the Allocation of Agricultural Machinery on behalf of the Government of FBiH and other persons close to them, carried out illegal and non-purposeful distribution and sale of agricultural equipment and machinery donated by the People's Republic of China to Bosnia and Herzegovina, valued at over 1,000,000 KM. This equipment was intended for beneficiaries from FBiH affected by floods. They sold it for cash directly to beneficiaries or through intermediaries at significantly lower market prices, all with the aim of gaining unlawful property benefits.
