(Patria) - Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino has unveiled the company's new logo - a white letter X on a black background - after Twitter owner Elon Musk confirmed he wants to get rid of the blue bird logo.
"X is here, let's do this," Yaccarino wrote on her Twitter profile this morning, as reported by the British television network BBC.
Musk changed his profile picture to the new logo and added X.com to his Twitter bio.
Yesterday, he announced he wants to change the Twitter logo, writing: "Soon we will bid farewell to the Twitter brand and, gradually, to all the birds."
According to reports, Musk wants to create a "super app" called "X."

Yaccarino wrote that the rebranding will bring exciting new opportunities.
"Twitter made a huge impact and changed the way we communicate. Now, X will go further and transform the global town square," she said.
Musk, who bought Twitter last year for $44 billion, already changed the company's name to "X Corp" in April and regularly mentions the project to turn the social network into a multi-service and financial services platform, like "WeChat" in China.
This name change comes amid financial troubles at Twitter. Musk has laid off a large number of employees as advertising revenue has declined.
Twitter is facing competition from rival apps, such as Meta's new app Threads.
