
(Patria) - Investigators of the Criminal Police Sector of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton Police Administration, within the investigation led by the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of the Tuzla Canton, in the case of Besim Kopić and others, arrested four more people, three of whom are police officers.
"By order of the cantonal prosecutor, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they have committed the criminal offense of human trafficking, four people have been arrested, including three police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton Police Administration, namely E.K. (23) and I.H. (24) both from Kalesija (police officers of the Kalesija Police Station), A.H. (36) from Živinice (police officer of the Živinice Police Station) and M.J. (64) from Banovići", stated the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton Police Administration.
They added that the arrested persons will be handed over to the jurisdiction of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton after criminal processing.
Last week, a plea hearing was held before the judge for preliminary proceedings of the Cantonal Court in Tuzla in the case against Besim Kopić, Miralem Halilović, Jasmin Modrić, Dževad Požegić, Šemsudin Kadrić, Zijad Jagodić, Sulejman Šehić and Nedim Avdić. All pleaded not guilty.
"In this regard, the director of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton Police Administration today made a decision on the temporary suspension of the mentioned police officers, until the criminal or disciplinary proceedings are concluded", the police stated.
