Tuzla Airport: Attempted escape to Sweden to avoid prison

Officers of the Border Police Unit at Tuzla Airport on Thursday, July 9, around 10 AM, controlled S. S. (1961), a BiH citizen, on a flight to Malmö. During border checks, it was established that he was wanted by the Court of BiH for serving a prison sentence at the Tuzla Penitentiary. He was arrested at 11 AM and handed over to the officials of the Tuzla Penitentiary, reports the Patria News Agency.

Officers of the Dobrljin Border Police Unit arrested a BiH citizen, B. S. (1980), on the same day at 2:30 PM, after border checks revealed he was wanted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Una-Sana Canton for the criminal offense of grand theft. He was checked while exiting BiH at the Bosanski Novi International Border Crossing. B. S. was handed over to the officials of the Court Police of the USK Courts in Bihać on the same day.

Officers of the Bosanski Brod Border Police Unit also arrested a BiH and Croatian citizen, P. T. (1981), on July 9 at 11:55 PM upon entering BiH at the Bosanski Brod International Border Crossing, after it was determined that he was wanted by the Municipal Court in Derventa for the criminal offense of domestic violence. P. T. was handed over to police officers of the Doboj District Court Police Center for further proceedings, according to the Border Police.
