Tuzla's Solana Meets Market Demands, Supplies Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as the Region

(Patria) - Due to the recent situation and increased demand for basic foodstuffs, salt has been one of the most sought-after products in recent months. To respond effectively to all demands of the domestic and foreign markets, Tuzla's Solana is operating at full capacity to produce and supply all customers and households with this essential product.

"Solana continues to regularly produce and distribute salt to both domestic and foreign markets, even under the conditions of the coronavirus pandemic. In March, we experienced increased demand for salt, and in the last three weeks, we have supplied 10,000 tons of all types of salt to the market. So far, we have managed to meet all market demands and we hope to maintain this production continuity so that there will be no shortage of salt in either the domestic or foreign markets. We supply all customers in neighboring countries that do not have sufficient quantities of this strategic raw material according to their needs and in necessary amounts. Despite all the difficulties, we continue to place special emphasis on the safety and quality of our products," states Bakir Smailagić, director of Tuzla's Solana.

Despite the fact that salt exports are hampered by the situation at the borders, Tuzla's Solana, with the help of cooperation with distributors, exports kitchen and industrial salt in sufficient quantities to Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Slovenia, as well as other countries. Solana delivers its products for export via freight trains, and the company states that a freight train of salt departed for Slovenia at the end of last week," the Solana announced.
