Tuzla: Driver of a Golf vehicle fatally struck an elderly man at the scene

(Patria) - An elderly man was fatally injured in a traffic accident that occurred today in the Sjenjak settlement of Tuzla.

- In Prve tuzlanske brigade street, around 2:30 PM, a traffic accident occurred involving a Golf VI car, driven by M.S. (29) from Tuzla, and a pedestrian, whose identity is currently undetermined, a male person approximately 70 years old.

The pedestrian was knocked down onto the roadway, resulting in death, which was confirmed at the scene by the duty doctor from the Emergency Medical Service of the Tuzla Health Center - said the spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of TK, Adnana Sprečić.

At the scene, Sprečić added, police officers from the East Police Station are present, securing the scene until the arrival of the investigation team.

- The duty prosecutor of the TK Prosecutor's Office has been informed of the event, and will come to the scene of the accident and supervise the investigation, which will be conducted by investigators from the Criminal Police Department of the Tuzla Police Administration - Sprečić added.

Traffic at the mentioned location has been completely suspended since 2:30 PM until the completion of the investigation and is being diverted via alternative routes.
