Tuzla: Man stabs woman in chest area, then turns himself in to police; victim refuses further treatment

(Patria) - The duty service of the Tuzla Center Police Station received a report at 8:35 PM on Friday that a woman, E. M. (born 1972), was at the address Rudarska 39 and had been injured in the chest area, and that she had most likely sustained the injuries from a cold weapon.

"A police patrol from the Center and West Police Stations was immediately dispatched to the scene, along with an investigative team from the Tuzla Police Department's Criminal Police, and the duty prosecutor of the Tuzla Canton Prosecutor's Office was notified. The injured person was not found at the scene, as she had in the meantime been transported to the Clinic for Maxillofacial and Plastic Surgery of the University Clinical Center Tuzla for medical assistance.

In the meantime, around 8:40 PM, S. O. (born 1969) from Tuzla reported to the Center Police Station and confirmed that he had attacked E. M.," the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton stated.

The man also gave his location, and the police arrested him on the order of the duty prosecutor.

"The injured person received medical assistance at the University Clinical Center Tuzla, but the doctor did not comment on the extent of her injuries, and the victim refused further treatment. The suspect, S. O., will be handed over to the prosecutor, following criminal processing and on the order of the acting prosecutor, for further measures and actions within their jurisdiction, while the documentation of this incident continues under the supervision of the acting prosecutor," the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton stated.
