Tuzla: Autopsy to be performed on murdered children

Two minor children, an eleven-year-old girl and a seven-year-old boy, were murdered last night around 7 PM in a car in the hamlet of Repuševac on the Lipnica-Obodnica road near Tuzla. The suspect in the double murder is their father, forty-one-year-old Nesad Djedović from Lipnica, who then shot himself in the head and is currently in the Clinic for Anesthesiology and Resuscitation of the University Clinical Center (UKC) Tuzla, in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the head, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Djedović fired several shots from a pistol at the children in his car. The girl died immediately, and the boy en route to UKC Tuzla.

The investigation was conducted last night by the duty prosecutor and members of the Criminal Police Sector of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton. A large number of material evidence was collected during the investigation, a series of investigative actions are being taken, and various expert examinations are underway to determine all circumstances related to the murder of the two minors. The duty prosecutor has issued orders for the autopsy of the bodies of the deceased children.

The motives for the murders of the children and the family tragedy are still being determined, and we are unable to provide any information about it, it was announced from the Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton.
