Two individuals handed over to Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office for human trafficking

(Patria) - By order of the duty prosecutor of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton arrested two suspects on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of human trafficking in connection with the sexual exploitation of three women, two of whom are minors.

The acting prosecutor decided to detain the suspects for 24 hours, after which they will decide on further measures against them within that legal deadline.

They are suspected of having, in the past period, using threats and coercion, induced and recruited the victims for the purpose of exploitation through prostitution in order to gain unlawful property benefits.
