Prosecutor's Office satisfied with second-instance verdict: Slobodanka Tošić sentenced to 2.5 years in prison

The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina is satisfied with the second-instance verdict, which confirmed the sentence of Slobodanka Tošić in the "Lutka" case of 2.5 years in prison, accepted the prosecution's appellate arguments, and she was found guilty of the criminal offense of criminal association, while evidence collected through international legal assistance from the Republic of Serbia was fully accepted as lawful, the Prosecutor's Office stated, Patria reports.

Slobodanka Tošić, a former Miss Photogenic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, was charged with the criminal offense of criminal association. Tošić is linked to Darko Elez, who is serving a nine-year prison sentence in Belgrade for murder and robbery.

She was sentenced to two and a half years in prison for being a member of a joint criminal enterprise and complicity in the attempted murder of Đorđe Ždrale on April 13, 2006. The time she spent in custody from May 17 to August 21, 2015, will be credited toward her sentence.
