
(Patria) - Under the supervision of the Una-Sana Canton Prosecutor's Office, the Federal Police Administration of the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs of FBiH, with the assistance of the Intelligence-Security Agency of BiH, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Una-Sana Canton, is searching multiple locations and individuals in the area of the municipality of Sanski Most and the city of Prijedor, pursuant to an order from the Municipal Court in Sanski Most.
A number of individuals have been deprived of liberty, including police officers and responsible persons of certain business entities, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they have committed criminal offenses of "Abuse of Office or Authority," "Receiving Gifts or Other Forms of Benefit," "Giving Gifts and Other Forms of Benefit," "Receiving a Reward or Other Form of Benefit for Undue Influence."
After criminal processing, the individuals deprived of liberty will be handed over to the acting prosecutor who will decide on further measures regarding the said individuals, it was announced from the Una-Sana Canton Prosecutor's Office.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of the Una-Sana Canton, Adnan Habibija, stated that 17 police officers have been deprived of liberty.
In the Prijedor area, three individuals were arrested, while one is being sought.
