The defense is seeking the acquittal of Bilal Bosnić, while the Prosecution is demanding a stricter sentence, after Bosnić was sentenced in November 2015 to seven years in prison in a first-instance verdict for, as stated, „inciting and recruiting for terrorism and organizing terrorist groups that ultimately joined ISIL on the Syrian battlefield“.
The convicted man's lawyer, Adil Lozo, requested from the Appellate Chamber that Bosnić be acquitted or that the proceedings be restarted, and also stated that there is no evidence that Bosnić sent anyone to the battlefield.
The Appellate Chamber will render a decision in this case at a later date, Patria reports.
