(Patria) - After questioning the suspects, in the presence of their attorneys, the acting prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, submitted to the Court of BiH a proposal for ordering detention for two suspects, as well as a proposal for ordering restraining measures for two other suspects.
Detention was proposed for reasons described in Article 132, paragraph 1, point b) of the CPC BiH, namely due to the risk that if released, the suspects might obstruct the investigation, conceal evidence, and influence witnesses or accomplices, while the proposed strict restraining measures include a ban on leaving their place of residence, a travel ban, and a ban on meeting with certain individuals.
After the proposal for detention and restraining measures was submitted, a court hearing was held late last night at which the acting prosecutor explained in detail the reasons for the detention and restraining measures, which are intended to ensure the smooth continuation of the investigation led by the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, the Ministry of Interior of the Sarajevo Canton, and partner police agencies.
Operation "Raptor" is aimed at uncovering and prosecuting individuals suspected of organized crime, illicit drug trafficking, human smuggling, and other related criminal offenses, and it involves a case in which international cooperation is being realized and information obtained from the decryption of Sky and Anom applications is being used.
The investigation in the case continues.
