Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton seeks detention for Fehim Halilović over attempted murder of a man in Gradačac

(Patria) - The acting prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton has submitted a proposal to the preliminary proceedings judge of the Cantonal Court in Tuzla for the imposition of a one-month detention measure for Fehim Halilović (30) from Gradačac due to reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of attempted murder.

Halilović is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol on September 8, 2024, at around 00:40 hours in the yard of his family home in the village of Požarike near Gradačac, after a brief verbal altercation with M.Š., entering the house, taking a kitchen knife, and inflicting injuries on the victim in the area of the left shoulder and a stab wound to the face and head. When M.Š. fell to the ground, he kicked him several times in the face with his foot. The victim was subsequently transported to the University Clinical Center Tuzla, where he was admitted for treatment.

Halilović was deprived of his liberty by members of the Gradačac Police Station in the morning hours, and they conducted a criminal investigation and handed him over to the Prosecutor's Office along with a report on the committed criminal offense.

The acting prosecutor issued an order to conduct an investigation and questioned the suspect.
