Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton ordered autopsies and expert examinations after yesterday's murder and suicide in Gradačac and Srebrenik

(Patria) - The Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton issued a statement regarding last night's murder and suicide in Gradačac and Srebrenik in which two people lost their lives.

"Last night around 7 PM in a family house in the settlement of Vida 2 in Gradačac, the lifeless body of Halida Mujedinović (63) was found with injuries to the head. In the room where the woman was killed, an axe was found. The body was discovered by her daughter from her first marriage. No signs of a ransacking were found in the house.

Yesterday in the morning hours, the lifeless body of her husband Refik Mujedinović (69) was also found near the house of his son in Srebrenik. He committed suicide by hanging.

The crime scene investigation at the house in Gradačac was conducted last night by the duty prosecutor in cooperation with investigators from the Criminal Police Sector of the Ministry of Interior of Tuzla Canton, during which all relevant traces related to the murder were collected," the Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton stated.

Today, autopsies of both bodies will be performed to determine the exact causes of death. The duty prosecutor will issue orders today for all necessary expert examinations, including DNA analysis.

The Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton emphasizes that numerous investigative actions are being carried out to determine all circumstances related to the murder.

"Until the completion of the necessary expert examinations and investigative actions, we are unable to provide more information about these events," the Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton stated.
