After the BiH Court ordered house arrest for all 10 suspects arrested in the Bobar Bank affair, the BiH Prosecutor's Office is dissatisfied with the decision, which will certainly slow down and complicate the investigation, and will file an appeal and request that the suspects be remanded in custody, the BiH Prosecutor's Office announced, as reported by the Patria news agency.
In this case of corruption and abuse of position, which involves illegally obtained property benefits of at least 115 million KM and damages of at least 123 million KM inflicted on citizens and institutions of BiH, its entities, and the Brčko District of BiH, certainly the largest case in BiH and one of the largest in the former Yugoslavia, we believe the suspects must be in custody.
The BiH Prosecutor's Office team has been working intensively on this case for over a year.
The BiH Prosecutor's Office continues the investigation with the aim of soon filing an indictment and thanks the public and citizens for their support in the fight against multi-million dollar crime, corruption, and abuse of position, which must be stopped on the European path of our country, as well as ensuring the security of bank deposits and financial operations for citizens and institutions, the statement reads.
For the record, in addition to Dragan Radumilo, director of Bobar Bank from its founding until 2010, who was arrested today, the following were arrested yesterday: Slavica Injac (born 1956), director of the RS Banking Agency; Snežana Vujnić (born 1961), director of the IRB; Petar Cacanović (born 1955), director of Bobar Bank from May 2010 to March 2014; Ana Mirosavljević (born 1978), director of Bobar Bank from March 2014; Sonja Kurtuma (born 1976), member of the bank's Supervisory Board; Saša Tomić (born 1980), member of the bank's Supervisory Board; Batrić Đurišić (born 1949), director of the Risk Sector at the bank; Zdravko Dubov (born 1957), internal auditor; and Igor Prodanović (born 1974), deputy director of the bank and director of the Corporate Banking Sector.
