Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton requested supervision by the federal prosecutor in the murder case of Dženan Memić

Chief cantonal prosecutor Dalida Burzić, a day after the protests held by the Memić family and the submission of a list of demands to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton regarding the investigation into the murder of young man Dženan Memić, requested from the chief federal prosecutor Zdravko Knežević to supervise the work of the acting prosecutor in the case concerning the criminal offense of murder of Dženan Memić, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- The chief disciplinary prosecutor has been asked to determine whether there are elements of responsibility for the acting prosecutor and the chief cantonal prosecutor in the same case - Azra Bavčić, spokesperson for the Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, told Patria.

We recall, Memić sustained life-threatening injuries on February 8 in Velika aleja in Ilidža while walking with his girlfriend Alisa Mutap, who is the only witness to what happened that night, and the young man died on February 15 at the University Clinical Center Sarajevo.

Initially, it was said that he was hit by a car, but the investigation determined that the injuries resulted from a blow, meaning he was attacked and beaten, as claimed by the family, but not by the investigative authorities.
