(Patria) - The investigation into the tram accident that occurred today in the Centar municipality will continue tomorrow, the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office (KS) announced.
The investigation is being conducted under the supervision of two prosecutors, with the presence of mechanical and traffic experts.
- The necessary expert examinations will be carried out to determine all the circumstances and the cause of the accident, after which a decision on further procedural actions will be made - stated the spokesperson for the KS Prosecutor's Office, Azra Bavčić.
She stated that at this stage of the proceedings, the KS Prosecutor's Office cannot provide more information.
The Police Administration of the KS Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that traffic, which has been suspended in both directions from the accident site between the Mechanical School and SCC, will be reopened when conditions on the ground allow.
According to the latest information from the KS Ministry of Internal Affairs, one person died, while four were injured in the tragic tram accident that occurred around noon today.
Namely, a tram traveling from the train station towards Baščaršija derailed near the National Museum. It then hit a tram stop and ended up on the main road.
