Cantonal Prosecutor's Office investigates Novalić's advisor: Premier not bothered by criminal charges!

The Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Canton Sarajevo is verifying allegations from a criminal complaint filed on February 17 by the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina against S.O. on grounds of suspicion of committing the criminal offense of negligent work in service, says the Prosecutor's Office of Canton Sarajevo, in response to Patria's inquiry about whether any investigation is being conducted against Suvad Osmanagić, advisor to Prime Minister Fadil Novalić.

- Upon completion of the verification, the Prosecutor's Office will decide on further actions and measures within its jurisdiction, all with the aim of reaching a final prosecutorial decision – stated Alem Hamzić, spokesperson for the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office.

Incidentally, Osmanagić's criminal complaint did not bother Prime Minister Novalić, as he apparently was not disturbed by it, so he appointed Osmanagić, former director of Unis Group, as his advisor even though the criminal complaint against him was filed by the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina itself.

Let us recall, the complaint against Osmanagić was submitted due to the fact that even after his dismissal from the position of director of Unis Group in December 2014, he repeatedly refused to hand over duties to the newly appointed acting director Normela Džafić and continued to perform duties of arbitrary and illegal representation of the company in legal transactions with third parties, particularly through unauthorized statements drawing the attention of domestic and international public to "the problem of issuing permits for the export of ammunition to Ukraine," in which Unis Group was a partial intermediary.

As we learn, after his dismissal, Osmanagić undertook a series of activities that seriously damaged the reputation of Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as the credibility of the defense industry. He, as is known, presented himself in the media as the director of Unis Group, without any authorization to represent the interests of Unis Group.

Let us recall, Osmanagić was appointed director of Unis Group on December 15, 2010; the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina made the decision on his dismissal on December 18, 2014, and the Supervisory Board confirmed this decision on January 7, 2015. However, as evident from media reports, Osmanagić continued to perform the duties of director of Unis Group even after his dismissal.

Now it is speculated that Novalić, precisely through the compromised and criminal-charge-laden Osmanagić and Samir Iskrić, head of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who managed the finances of FK Zvijezda from Gradačac while Novalić was president of this club and who also managed the financial service in the company Cimos TMD and was on the Supervisory Board of Pretis, wants to take control of the defense industry in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is why criminal charges do not bother him.
