Prosecutor's Office of Canton Sarajevo: Cause of fire in Nahorevo still unknown

The cause of the fire at the agricultural estate owned by Mehmed Muharemović in Nahorevo, which caused great damage, is still unknown, it was confirmed from the Prosecutor's Office of Canton Sarajevo to the Patria news agency.

- The Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Canton Sarajevo has been informed about the incident, and at this moment we cannot speak about the causes that led to the burning of Mehmed Muharemović's property. When the fire protection expert submits his findings and opinion, the Prosecutor's Office will decide on further procedural actions in this case – says Alem Hamzić, spokesperson for the Prosecutor's Office of Canton Sarajevo.

Incidentally, in the stable that was destroyed in the fire, about 40 lambs burned, as well as the owner Muharemović's van. Although members of the Professional Fire Brigade of Canton Sarajevo responded immediately with five fire vehicles, the damage could not be avoided.

To the public and neighbors in Nahorevo, Mehmed Meho Muharemović is known as a hard worker and a good host. For several years in a row, he was declared 'Farmer of the Year in the area of the Centar municipality' and awarded for his successful work, and as he himself said, he had no threats nor was he in conflict with anyone.
