Prosecutor's Office of HNK considers displaying the flag of the so-called Herceg-Bosnia not a criminal offense

MOSTAR, (Patria) - The Prosecutor's Office of HNK assessed that displaying the flag of the so-called Herceg-Bosnia in public places is not a criminal offense.

Editor of the Mostar portal Tačno.net, Štefica Galić, filed a criminal complaint on November 17, 2016, against unknown persons for placing flags of the para-state Herceg-Bosnia, which was convicted by the Hague Tribunal for UZP on November 29 last year.

However, after nearly two years of investigation, the Prosecutor's Office of HNK assessed that it is not a criminal offense.

- Criminal liability for displaying other flags on the territory of BiH is not prescribed, nor does the Law on the Flag of BiH prescribe criminal liability for displaying another flag - stated in the decision by cantonal prosecutor Zekerijah Sinanović.

After the decision of the Prosecutor's Office in Mostar, Štefica Galić did not hide her disappointment with the decision.

- Here is the solution for the Herceg-Bosnia flags after two years - there is no criminal liability for displaying other flags on the territory of BiH. So go ahead, people, you can freely display the Nazi flag of the Third Reich, everything is approved by the three cartels in BiH - said Galić after learning about the decision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office.
