HNK Prosecutor's Office: No terrorist attack on General Jeleč

There was no terrorist attack on General Anto Jeleč in the Salakovac tunnel near Mostar, and no bomb or dynamite was used in the explosion, said the duty prosecutor of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Maja Čišić.

- According to the facts we have so far, I don't think it was an attack on General Anto Jeleč, but I cannot claim anything with certainty until the investigation is completed - said Čišić.

After an explosive device was thrown in front of the vehicle of the Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina Anto Jeleč in the Salakovac tunnel last night, the police arrested three people on suspicion of being connected to the attack.

The alleged attack on General Jeleč occurred in the Salakovac tunnel while he was returning from Sarajevo to his home in Mostar.

- An explosion occurred and I passed through the smoke, and after that I reported everything to the police. I was not injured, nor was there any damage to the vehicle, said General Anto Jeleč in a statement.
