Prosecutor's Office of BiH requests house arrest for arrested inspector Prašović

(Patria) - After questioning the suspect in the "Storage" case, who surrendered to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH after months on the run, the acting prosecutors will forward to the Court of BiH a proposal to impose pre-trial detention on the suspect Jekić
Dario, born in 1987 in Doboj. Detention will be proposed due to the suspect's risk of flight, the risk that he might obstruct the investigation, conceal evidence, or influence witnesses or accomplices while at liberty, as well as the risk of re-offending or completing the attempted crime.

The suspect is under investigation and is, among other things, accused of being a member of an organized criminal group, communicating via the "Sky" application, arranging and participating in serious organized crime offenses, unauthorized international trafficking of narcotic drugs "marijuana" and "heroin" in large quantities, as well as placing an explosive device on a facility in the Gradiška area.

Also, the prosecutor in the case codenamed "Insider", after questioning the suspect, will forward to the Court of BiH a proposal to impose strict prohibition measures, which include house arrest for the suspect Prašović Adis,
born in 1979 in Sarajevo, employed as an inspector in the police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton.

Given that the commission of the criminal offense has been documented by the investigation, and taking into account the statement given by the suspect in the presence of his lawyer, prohibition measures have been proposed to ensure the unimpeded conduct of the investigation and further proceedings against the suspect.

The suspect is under investigation for corrupt criminal offenses, abuse of police powers and capacities, for illegally providing information to individuals from the criminal milieu, and it is necessary for him to be removed from police structures during the investigation.

Proposals for imposing detention and prohibition measures will be forwarded to the Court of BiH within the legal deadline.
