Prosecutor's Office of BiH: Detention requested for two arrested in Operation Postman

After questioning the suspects arrested in the complex prosecutorial-police operation codenamed "Postman", the prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH submitted to the Court of BiH a motion for detention for the suspects Avdić Jusuf (1986) from Brčko, a citizen of BiH and Ponjević Srećko (1986) from Brčko, a citizen of BiH, the Prosecutor's Office of BiH announced, as reported by the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The detention motion was submitted based on the reasons described in Article 132, paragraph 1, point  b) of the Criminal Procedure Code of BiH, namely due to reasonable fear that the suspects, if released, could destroy, conceal, alter or forge evidence or traces important for the criminal proceedings, and that they could obstruct the criminal proceedings by influencing witnesses, accomplices or concealers.

The aforementioned suspects are under investigation on suspicion of having committed the criminal offenses of Organized Crime under Article 250, in connection with the criminal offense of Unauthorized Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs under Article 195, all in relation to Article 54 of the Criminal Code of BiH.

The motion for ordering detention measures has been submitted to the Court of BiH.

We recall, in the operation a larger quantity of the narcotic drug cocaine was seized, in an amount exceeding one kilogram, as well as a larger quantity of the narcotic drug marijuana-SKUNK, and a larger amount of money and vehicles were also seized, which, according to collected evidence, originate from drug smuggling. The value of the seized quantity of narcotic drugs on the black market exceeds 100,000 euros.
