Prosecutor's Office of BiH to appeal BiH Court's decision

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The Prosecutor's Office of BiH will, after receiving the Court's decision, analyze it in detail and, within the legal deadline, file an appeal in the case against Fadil Novalić, Fahrudin Solak and Fikret Hodžić, it was announced tonight from the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.

"The Prosecutor's Office of BiH continues to work on the case," the institution stated.

The BiH Court rejected the proposal of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH for a one-month detention, and Novalić, Solak and Hodžić were released today. The Prosecutor's Office of BiH suspects them of several criminal offenses related to the procurement of 100 Chinese ventilators paid for with 10.5 million KM.

The defense of the suspects claims that the Prosecutor's Office of BiH failed to substantiate its allegations of money laundering, abuse of influence, and organizing a group to commit criminal offenses.

During last night's seven-hour hearing, the Prosecutor's Office of BiH announced additional expert examinations of the procured ventilators, seized phones, and the testimony of a larger number of witnesses.

The BiH Court imposed measures on Novalić, Solak and Hodžić prohibiting them from meeting and communicating with each other, and from communicating with witnesses in the case, which means there are no obstacles for Prime Minister Novalić to perform his official duties and cooperate with the Minister of Finance Jelka Milićević, who was heard in this case.
