Prosecutor's Office of BiH files appeal, seeks custody for suspected marketing gurus

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH has filed an appeal with the Appellate Panel against the decision of the Court of BiH not to order custody for the suspects in the "Gibraltar" case, writes the BiH news agency Patria. 

"The Prosecutor's Office of BiH has filed an appeal requesting custody for the suspects," said the institution's spokesperson Boris Grubešić.

The Prosecutor's Office announced that it will request a temporary measure - the blocking of all assets (movable and immovable property and bank accounts) of the suspects for the duration of the proceedings, as the confiscation of illegal property benefits will also be requested within the scope of the case. 

The Court had previously rejected the proposal of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH to order one-month custody for those arrested in the operation codenamed "Gibraltar", and they were released. 

In the "Gibraltar" operation, members of SIPA arrested the director of the marketing agency S.V.R.S.A. Neven Kulenović, Belma Kulenović, Sanjin Kulenović, senior managers of the company HT "Eronet" Stipe Prlić and Zoran Bakula, deputy general director of "Pink BH" Lajla Torlak, former director of "Mreža plus" Darko Aleksić, director of the agency MITA Ejub Kučuk, and owner of the agency "Fabrika" Senad Zaimović. 

This group is suspected of organized crime, forgery of official documents, abuse of position or authority, tax evasion, money laundering, concluding harmful contracts, accepting and giving gifts or other benefits, and customs fraud.
