Prosecution seeks custody for Pavlović and others

After questioning the suspects, the Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office will submit a proposal to the BiH Court for the detention of the suspects: Pavlović Slobodan (1938), Lazić Petar (1962), Garić Ljiljana (1964), and Blagojević Blago (1950), it was announced from the BiH Prosecutor's Office, reports the Patria News Agency.

The custody proposal will be submitted for reasons described in Article 132, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Procedure Code of BiH, which includes, among other things, the risk of flight, due to a well-founded fear that the suspects, while at liberty, in an attempt to obstruct and prevent criminal proceedings against them, would destroy or conceal evidence and traces important for the criminal proceedings, and influence witnesses and accomplices, and that while at liberty they could commit a new criminal offense or complete an ongoing one.

The suspects are under investigation in a case related to financial crime offenses, connected to the operations of Pavlović Bank in Bijeljina, as well as the operations of the bank's owner, Slobodan Pavlović. The proposal for detention will be submitted to the BiH Court.
