Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina Ready for Elez

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption are undertaking all necessary activities to take over and prosecute this suspect.

Following the decision of the Higher Court in Belgrade, the Prosecutor's Office of BiH will undertake all necessary activities to take over and prosecute this suspect for criminal offenses of organized crime.

This decision is, among other things, the result of the efforts and cooperation of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Srpska, in coordination with partner judicial institutions and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia.

In the coming days, coordination and communication activities will be carried out with partner police and security agencies, in order to realize the transport of the mentioned suspect and accused in the cases of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH as soon as possible.

Elez Darko is accused in the Prosecutor's Office of BiH within the case codenamed "Lutka" (Doll), in which final prison sentences of over 130 years have been imposed in the proceedings so far.

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH is also working on an extensive organized crime case, which relates to the suspect Elez and other persons, who are under investigation for serious criminal offenses of murders and mafia-style liquidations, extortion, and other criminal offenses in the area of Istočno Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
