Prosecutor's Office of BiH publishes articles in which individuals are convicted before a verdict

The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has an open section on its website "about us" where it publishes newspaper articles mentioning this institution. However, the BH news agency Patria (NAP) received a complaint due to the fact that in some of the published articles on the official website of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, individuals are convicted of crimes before being prosecuted.

- The state prosecutor's office publishes newspaper articles, some of which are unprofessional texts that contain unproven or untrue claims. Does the Prosecutor's Office of BiH stand behind such claims, given that it publishes them on its official website – stated in the complaint received by the BH news agency Patria.

We requested a reaction from the Public Relations Office of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH. Spokesperson Boris Grubešić told us, apparently considering there was nothing controversial about it, that it was about publishing newspaper articles.

- As is visible, these are articles from newspapers, we are just taking them over – stated Grubešić.

However, after we sent the inquiry about the publication of the article to the Prosecutor's Office and the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council, the mentioned section has not been accessible since this morning. Only a link to the archive of articles is available, with the latest entry from February of this year. It is unknown whether this is due to technical problems, a decision by the Prosecutor's Office of BiH to accept the complaint, or perhaps a "suggestion" from the HJPC.
