Prosecutor's Office of BiH files indictment for crimes in Štrpci

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH has filed an indictment for war crimes against 10 individuals for acts committed against abducted passengers from the Štrpci station in 1993, it was confirmed by the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.

The indictment has been filed against 10 individuals. 

The abduction in Štrpci is the name for the crime of February 27, 1993, when members of Serbian paramilitary units under the command of Milan Lukić, with the logistical support of the state of Serbia, abducted a group of passengers from train 671 on the Belgrade–Bar route.

The abducted passengers, 18 Bosniaks and one Croat, were subsequently liquidated. Most of the murdered were citizens of Serbia and Montenegro and were mostly from Priboj, Prijepolje, Belgrade, and Podgorica. Among them were also citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The remains of 16 passengers have not yet been found, while the remains of Ćorić Rasim and Rastoder Jusuf were found in Lake Perućac. Incomplete remains of a third passenger, Zubčević Halil, were also found in Lake Perućac. Among those taken from the train was also a Black man whose fate is unknown.
