Prosecutor's Office of BiH files indictment against Naser Orić

The Prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, following a multi-month investigation conducted in cooperation with the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, has filed an indictment against Naser Orić and Sabahudin Muhić, it was announced from the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

The accused are charged that during the war and armed conflict between the Army of RBiH and the VRS, in the area of Srebrenica and Bratunac, in their capacity as commanders and members of the Army of RBiH forces, they acted contrary to the provisions of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions.

The indictment states that the accused, during 1992 in the villages of Zalazje, Lolići, and Kunjerac, committed the murder of three prisoners of Serb nationality.

The accused are charged with the criminal offense of war crimes against prisoners of war. The indictment has been forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH will, in the same criminal case, send a request to the Swiss Confederation for the extradition of the suspect Elfeta Veseli, who is suspected of committing the criminal offense of war crimes against the civilian population – the murder of a minor boy of Serb nationality – during 1992, it was announced from the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.
