Prosecutor's Office of BiH files indictment against Brkić for revealing identity of protected witness

(Patria) - The Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption has filed an indictment against Brkić Safet, born in 1986 in Sarajevo, a citizen of BiH.

The accused is charged with publishing a written statement of a protected witness in a terrorism case via a social network, thereby unauthorizedly revealing information about his identity, which was declared secret by a decision of the Court of BiH, with an obligation to maintain secrecy for a period of 30 years.

The accused is charged with unauthorizedly revealing information about the identity of a person who provided evidence before the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and whose identity was declared secret by a decision of the Court of BiH, thereby committing the criminal offense of revealing the identity of a protected witness under Article 240, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The indictment has been forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation, which has confirmed it.
