SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH filed an indictment against Jovica Vidović, born in 1998 in Gradiška, a citizen of BiH.
The accused is charged with, on October 11, 2019, for the purpose of obtaining illegal material gain, for an agreed monetary amount, connecting migrants who did not meet the conditions for legal crossing of the state border of BiH, from the area of Bihać towards the state border of Bosnia and Herzegovina into the Republic of Croatia, avoiding border control measures.
The aforementioned accused was discovered and arrested in the area of the Gradiška border crossing, when he was transporting smuggled persons, citizens of Pakistan, in the trunk of a vehicle rented from a car rental agency.
The accused is charged with committing the criminal offense of human smuggling under Article 189, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of BiH.
The indictment has been forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
