Prosecutor's Office of BiH refuses to comment on criminal complaint against Zubac and 17 SIPA employees

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH refuses to comment on allegations that it has launched checks against the former director of the Agency for Investigation and Protection of BiH (SIPA), convicted Goran Zubac, and another 17 of his colleagues on suspicion of committing several criminal offenses, such as bribery, rigging competitions, and illegal promotions, writes the Patria news agency.

- The Prosecutor's Office of BiH cannot give any comment – says Boris Grubešić, spokesperson for the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, when asked whether a complaint has been received against 17 SIPA employees, including Goran Zubac, the former director of this institution, and whether an investigation has been opened based on that complaint.

As Patria has previously written, investigators of the Prosecutor's Office should, in the investigation, address the issue of misuse of a Renault Megane car. Besides the fact that the disputed vehicle was returned to the DGS, how many times did that vehicle and other vehicles from Zubac's escort cross the State Border and for what "operational" needs?

Also subject to investigation are illegal transfers of unsuitable persons, deployment of police officers to employee positions, unlawful use of means of coercion and illegal deprivations of liberty, providing false information to the operational center of the Ministry of Security during floods, and distribution of SIPA uniforms donated by ICITAP to various unauthorized persons.

For multiple criminal offenses, in addition to Zubac, the following were reported: Deputy and Assistant Director of SIPA Đuro Knežević and Jasmin Gogić, Head of the Financial Intelligence Department and President of the Commission for Promotion of Police Officers Duško Drljača, Head of the War Crimes Investigation Center Ivica Divković, and Head of the Investigation Department in the War Crimes Investigation Sector and member of the Commission for Promotion of Police Officers Mario Kapetanović.

The list also includes Head of the Operational Communication Center in the SIPA Operational Support Sector and member of the Commission for Promotion of Police Officers Halida Pašalić, Leading Investigator of the Organized Crime Prevention and Detection Department Slađenko Čerkez, Assistant Commander for Operations, Security and Support of the Special Operations Unit Jovica Milosavljević, Assistant Commander for Training of the Special Operations Unit Dalibor Milošević, Head of the Investigation Department of the Financial Intelligence Department Dragan Andrić, and Head of the Criminal Investigation Department in the SIPA Regional Office in Banja Luka Ljubiša Pandurević.

Also reported are Head of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Tuzla Regional Office Jusuf Avdispahić, Head of the Internal Investigations Department Aleksandar Tegeltija, Leading Investigator of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Mostar Regional Office Ervin Pavlović, Leading Investigator in the Investigation Department of the War Crimes Investigation Sector Vesna Stevanović, Head of the War Crimes Investigation Department in the Tuzla Regional Office and Investigator in the Investigation Department of the War Crimes Investigation Sector Dženana Omerhodžić.
