
(Patria) - The Prosecutor's Office of BiH and SIPA carried out an operation in the fight against international human trafficking.
The identified victim, a foreign national, was provided with health and security protection in a Safe House, and support from the witness support officer of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.
By order of the acting prosecutor, police officers of SIPA, in the area of Gradačac, conducted activities including searches, arrests, and interrogations of suspects, citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, suspected of the criminal offense of international human trafficking.
The identified victim was taken care of with the support of the NGO sector and is located at a safe location.
The suspects are charged with, taking advantage of the victim's difficult situation and the fact that she was thousands of kilometers from her home country, exploiting the victim for labor to the limits of endurance, for various jobs, while her documents were confiscated and her freedom of movement was restricted.
After the operation, the traumatized victim was taken care of, and support was also provided by the Witness Support Officer of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, as well as employees of the non-governmental sector active in providing support to victims in the area of combating human trafficking and illegal migration.
The Prosecutor's Office of BiH, SIPA, and law enforcement agencies continue to document the criminal offense and collect evidence in this case.
