Prosecutor's Office of BiH and SIPA investigating alleged wiretapping of Chief Prosecutor Gordana Tadić

Regarding recent events related to the surveillance and wiretapping of acting Chief Prosecutor Gordana Tadić and HJPC Vice-President Ružica Jukić, which have been interpreted differently in public, the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, in response to frequent inquiries about the mentioned events, informs the public that:

Acting on the order of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) has submitted a report on the actions taken, which states, among other things, that SIPA's internal control did not establish the agency's involvement in the mentioned event, which relates to the secret surveillance and monitoring of the communications of the said persons.

We emphasize that the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, in cooperation with SIPA, and if necessary with other police agencies, will continue to carry out all necessary investigative actions in order to shed light on the circumstances and facts important for making a prosecutorial decision, about which the public will be informed.

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH and SIPA have had good, direct, and daily cooperation since their establishment in 2004, and have been working together for 13 years in the fight against all forms of crime within their legally defined jurisdictions - it was announced from the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.
