SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina will submit to the Court of BiH on Saturday morning a proposal for a one-month detention for the Federal Prime Minister Fadil Novalić, the suspended director of the FUCZ Fahrudin Solak and the director of Srebrena malina Fikret Hodžić, and they will remain in the detention unit of the Court of BiH overnight, according to unofficial information reported by an Al Jazeera reporter.
Defense attorneys still do not have an official proposal from the Prosecutor's Office to know exactly what their clients are charged with, and this request will be delivered to them in the morning. A hearing will be held during the day on Saturday at the Court of BiH, which will have 24 hours to make a decision on possible detention.
Novalić, Solak and Hodžić spent almost 24 hours at SIPA, after which they were transferred to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH in the afternoon on Friday, where they gave statements to prosecutors regarding the procurement of 100 ventilators paid for with 10.5 million KM.
Neither SIPA nor the Prosecutor's Office have provided official information for almost two days about the case that has disturbed the public and stirred up the political scene in BiH.
Over the past nearly month since the Prosecutor's Office of BiH took over the case from the Prosecutor's Office of the Sarajevo Canton, searches of several facilities and institutions have been carried out, mobile phones and documentation have been seized in an attempt to trace the money and the method of conducting the procurement of the disputed ventilators, which, as determined by expert analysis, cannot be used in intensive care units.
